Global Teleneurology Service
Supporting communities in delivering neurological care!

How does a consultation work?

Consultations include a UCSF neurologist conducting a joint consult with the partnering clinician and their patient. The partner clinician assumes full responsibility for the patient’s care during the web consultation. The partner clinician can either:

  • Schedule a time for a consult and provide patient information in advance.
  • Request a consult from a virtually on-call UCSF neurologist.
  • Schedule a day where multiple cases are presented in succession.

Let's get started. How can we help?

I am a clinician at a partnering site, and I'd like to request a consult.

Please note that consults can only be requested by a clinician from a previously-approved partner site. For more information on becoming a partner site, please contact us at gts@ucsf.edu.

TROUBLESHOOTING

"I've submitted a consult request, but have not received a response"

Due to the variation in email systems and local firewall settings, if you are experiencing difficulties receiving a response to your consult request, we encourage you to double check your email 'Sent' folder to ensure your message was successfully dispatched. Additionally, we advise checking to make sure that our response emails are not being caught in a 'Spam/Junk' folder or by any similar filters that your institution might employ.

I am not from a partnering site, but would like to learn more about this service.

Would your hospital like to become a partner site? Please email us at gts@ucsf.edu for more information on how to participate.
